Contract

  1. Be sure to read through and know your rights!

(State Employee Relations Board)

  1. This is the last year for our current contract. Negotiations are coming up next school year – see your Bldg Reps for any ideas that you want to see added/taken out of current contract.

Update Information

  1. Make sure you give updated non-school email address to Bldg reps
    1. See Bldg Reps for minor issues that can then be taken to Executive Committee and Labor Relations

Constitution/By-Laws and Dues

  1. There is a typo with dues rates – 0.019% should be 0.19%
  2. Currently we are paying $53.23/yr based on base pay from 2016. With current base pay, we should be paying $61.27
  3. Rate will be correct next year, and we will be paying $64.12, avg. $3.21/pay
  4. Dues go toward stipends, OEA/NEA meetings, printing contract books, postage/copies, association events, and yearly scholarship
  5. If you have any interest in adding to or changing the by-laws, see your Bldg Rep
  6. Should the association dissolve, section 12.5 states that the treasury money would go to Close Up, which is no longer an organization, so we need to discuss where funds should go.

Fundraisers

  1. Keep fundraising next year for a financial cushion!

A motion for adjournment was made at 9:45 a.m. by Rebecca Donley and was seconded by Don Yeager with a unanimous vote to follow.

Respectfully submitted,
