{"id":384,"date":"2025-07-11T19:41:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T19:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blcta.ohea.us\/?page_id=384"},"modified":"2025-08-14T21:24:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T21:24:45","slug":"july-2025","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blcta.ohea.us\/?page_id=384","title":{"rendered":"July 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>July 8, 2025<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Back to School Bash will be held on August 3 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the high school.<\/li>\n<li>The New Employee Breakfast will be held on August 7 at 9:00 AM at the high school.\u00a0 A BLCTA meeting will follow the breakfast in room 102 of the junior high.<\/li>\n<li>A general session for the BLCTA will be held on August 19 at the high school.\u00a0 The time is to be determined.<\/li>\n<li>There are 3 School Board seats that will be open this year.\u00a0 Those seats are Clint Powell, Brooke Stingle, and Ashley West.<\/li>\n<li>Insurance rates will be increasing by $12 or $13 per pay this year.<\/li>\n<li>If you have any Buckeye Local shirts you would like to donate for the newly hired teachers, please give them to your building rep or any member of the executive committee,<\/li>\n<li>A fundraiser for the BLCTA Scholarships will be starting in August.\u00a0 Tickets will be sold 3 for $5 for a chance to win a bundle of 200 $1 lottery tickets.\u00a0 See your building rep for tickets.<\/li>\n<li>Nominations and elections for building representatives will happen in September.<\/li>\n<li>Please consider joining a committee for our union.\u00a0 Positions are available.\u00a0 We also need members to volunteer for various other things for the union.\u00a0 More information will be coming your way.<\/li>\n<li>Labor Relations meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the main office.\u00a0 Please bring issues and concerns to your building representatives.<\/li>\n<li>The next Board Meeting will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Central Office.<\/li>\n<li>The next BLCTA Executive Committee meeting will be held on Thursday August 7, 2025 following the New Employee Breakfast in room 102 of the BLJH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 8, 2025 The Back to School Bash will be held on August 3 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the high school.
