{"id":390,"date":"2025-08-14T21:53:03","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T21:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blcta.ohea.us\/?page_id=390"},"modified":"2026-07-16T19:16:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T19:16:52","slug":"august-2025","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blcta.ohea.us\/?page_id=390","title":{"rendered":"August 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>August 7, 2025<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A general session for the BLCTA will be held on August 19 at the high school.\u00a0 The time is to be determined.<\/li>\n<li>The BLCTA will be hosting the annual tailgate party on October 10, 2025 at the Wells Township Park.\u00a0 Keep watching for more information.<\/li>\n<li>Sick bank donations will be taken this year.<\/li>\n<li>There are 3 School Board seats that will be open this year.\u00a0 Those seats are Clint Powell, Brooke Stingle, and Ashley West.<\/li>\n<li>Insurance rates will be increasing by $12 or $13 per pay this year.<\/li>\n<li>If you have any Buckeye Local shirts you would like to donate for the newly hired teachers, please give them to your building rep or any member of the executive committee,<\/li>\n<li>A fundraiser for the BLCTA Scholarships will be starting in August.\u00a0 Tickets will be sold 3 for $5 for a chance to win a bundle of 200 $1 lottery tickets.\u00a0 See your building rep for tickets.<\/li>\n<li>Nominations and elections for building representatives will happen in September.<\/li>\n<li>Please consider joining a committee for our union.\u00a0 Positions are available.\u00a0 We also need members to volunteer for various other things for the union.\u00a0 More information will be coming your way.<\/li>\n<li>Labor Relations meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the main office.\u00a0 Please bring issues and concerns to your building representatives.<\/li>\n<li>The next Board Meeting will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Central Office.<\/li>\n<li>The next BLCTA Executive Committee meeting will be held on Thursday September 9, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. in room 102 of the BLJH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--a=1--><\/p>\n<p><!--a=1--><\/p>\n<p><!--a=1--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>August 7, 2025 A general session for the BLCTA will be held on August 19 at the high school.\u00a0 The time is to be determined.
