Feel free to make copies, if needed. Refer to the contract before taking questions to your building reps.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also available on BLCTA website \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/blcta.ohea.us\">blcta.ohea.us<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some changes have been made to the contract:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3% pay increase.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You should have received a salary notice via email on June 26th. This should reflect the most recent pay increase.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Insurance will stay the same this year and next year, when the next negotiations occur.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Special Education caseload changes \u2013 please see contract sections 16.22, 16.23, and 16.24.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are no longer required to submit weekly lesson plans.\u00a0 You must submit a pacing guide at the beginning of each 9 week grading period.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Emergency sub plans must be available in the office &#8211; update these every 9 weeks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complimentary passes are to be used for ATHLETIC events ONLY.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is more of a reminder \u2013 Graduate studies reimbursement \u2013 please see contract section 17.02 on how to acquire your reimbursement.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">OEA dues \u2013 sign up for online withdrawal from your bank.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Approximately $45 will be taken out on the 1st and 15th of each month.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This starts in October of this year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sign up by September 30th and receive $50 from OEA.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is mandatory for new hires, but not mandatory for current members (as of yet).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See your Building Rep for more information.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">License renewals \u2013 if you are up for renewal, please see your LPDC rep to ensure you have everything you need!\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">$75 allocation (NOT including tax) needs to be spent by October 30th.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Send receipts, with completed purchase order, to Central Office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elections for Building Rep, OEA Rep, and EOEA Rep.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nominations are due by Friday, August 28, 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elections will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2026. (1 day only!)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elections for BLCTA President &amp; Vice President will happen in May 2027.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please consider running!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The BLCTA Tailgate will be held on September 18th at Warren Township Park at 5:00pm<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is FREE to attend!! RSVP to your Building Rep by September 11th.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chinese Auction \u2013$1\/ticket or $5 for 6<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Raffle for $50 gift cards (Kroger &amp; Amazon) \u2013 $1\/ticket or $5 for 6.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any member who attends the tailgate with receive a FREE entry for the drawing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You must be present to win. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Drawings will be held at approximately 5:45 pm.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The money raised will go towards the scholarship fund.\u00a0 <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The games starts at 7:00 pm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A flyer will be distributed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Buckeye Local teachers are invited to fill the stands at the Young Buckeyes football game on Sunday, September 13th. More details to follow \u2013\u00a0 a flyer will be distributed.\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are in need of fundraiser ideas for our 2 scholarship funds. Otherwise, we may have to go back to giving out 1 scholarship.
