We will be voting on the Constitution and By-Laws at the next General Session.  Date is yet to be determined.

The Listening Tours are now over.  Thank you for attending!  We are discussing doing another one this school year.

Bargaining Boot Camp was held November 4 & 5 in Akron.  Those who attended said it was fantastic!  They received a large amount of useful material and information.

The BLCTA is now awarding 2 $500 scholarships.  One will be for any student majoring in education. The other is for any child/grandchild of a union member (past or present) in any field of further education.

2. First Negotiations meeting to be held on November 20th.

3. OEA has been lobbying in Washington, D.C. to promote flat funding

4.  STRS is pushing for members to be able to receive spousal Social Security death benefits

5.  Movement is happening with both flat funding and Social Security.
