Negotiations for our contract went well. The contract was approved.

The winners of the BLCTA scholarships were Cassandra Burkhead (Family) and Kiarra Eastham (Education). Congratulations!!

Nominations for BLCTA Secretary and Treasurer will begin August 19. Nominations are due by August 23. We will vote on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

The Back to School Bash will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. at the high school.

The new teacher breakfast will be held on August 8. It will begin with a BLCTA informational meeting at 8:00 a.m. in Gen Varkoney’s room. The breakfast is at 9:00 a.m.

The Fall Tailgate Party will be on October 11, 2024. Dinner will begin to be served at 4:00 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and is nonrefundable. Please RSVP to your building Rep by October 2. 50/50 tickets will be on sale beginning September 23. Food will be provided by Brian Harvey.

There will be a Buckeye Local shirt sale beginning on September 1. Orders can be placed through September 30. Watch for the flyers with the website!!

The next BLCTA Executive Meeting will be held on August 8 following the new employee informational meeting in Gen Varkoney’s room.
