• The Back to School Bash will be held on August 3 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the high school.
• The New Employee Breakfast will be held on August 7 at 9:00 AM at the high school.  A BLCTA meeting will follow the breakfast in room 102 of the junior high.
• A general session for the BLCTA will be held on August 19 at the high school.  The time is to be determined.
• There are 3 School Board seats that will be open this year.  Those seats are Clint Powell, Brooke Stingle, and Ashley West.
• Insurance rates will be increasing by $12 or $13 per pay this year.
• If you have any Buckeye Local shirts you would like to donate for the newly hired teachers, please give them to your building rep or any member of the executive committee,
• A fundraiser for the BLCTA Scholarships will be starting in August.  Tickets will be sold 3 for $5 for a chance to win a bundle of 200 $1 lottery tickets.  See your building rep for tickets.
• Nominations and elections for building representatives will happen in September.
• Please consider joining a committee for our union.  Positions are available.  We also need members to volunteer for various other things for the union.  More information will be coming your way.
• Labor Relations meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the main office.  Please bring issues and concerns to your building representatives.
• The next Board Meeting will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Central Office.
• The next BLCTA Executive Committee meeting will be held on Thursday August 7, 2025 following the New Employee Breakfast in room 102 of the BLJH.
