- Some changes have been made to the contract:
- 3% pay increase.
- You should have received a salary notice via email on June 26th. This should reflect the most recent pay increase.
- Insurance will stay the same this year and next year, when the next negotiations occur.
- Special Education caseload changes – please see contract sections 16.22, 16.23, and 16.24.
- We are no longer required to submit weekly lesson plans. You must submit a pacing guide at the beginning of each 9 week grading period.
- Emergency sub plans must be available in the office – update these every 9 weeks.
- Complimentary passes are to be used for ATHLETIC events ONLY.
- This is more of a reminder – Graduate studies reimbursement – please see contract section 17.02 on how to acquire your reimbursement.

- OEA dues – sign up for online withdrawal from your bank.
- Approximately $45 will be taken out on the 1st and 15th of each month.
- This starts in October of this year.
- Sign up by September 30th and receive $50 from OEA.
- This is mandatory for new hires, but not mandatory for current members (as of yet).

- $75 allocation (NOT including tax) needs to be spent by October 30th.

- Nominations are due by Friday, August 28, 2026.
- Elections will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2026. (1 day only!)
- Elections for BLCTA President & Vice President will happen in May 2027.

- The BLCTA Tailgate will be held on September 18th at Warren Township Park at 5:00pm
- It is FREE to attend!! RSVP to your Building Rep by September 11th.
- Chinese Auction –$1/ticket or $5 for 6
- Raffle for $50 gift cards (Kroger & Amazon) – $1/ticket or $5 for 6.
- Any member who attends the tailgate with receive a FREE entry for the drawing.
- You must be present to win.
- Drawings will be held at approximately 5:45 pm.
- The money raised will go towards the scholarship fund.
- The games starts at 7:00 pm.
- A flyer will be distributed.
- Buckeye Local teachers are invited to fill the stands at the Young Buckeyes football game on Sunday, September 13th. More details to follow – a flyer will be distributed.
- We are in need of fundraiser ideas for our 2 scholarship funds. Otherwise, we may have to go back to giving out 1 scholarship. Please give all ideas to your Building Rep.
- We also need ideas for other BLCTA mixers – let your Building Rep know!
- For members receiving their pay earlier than Friday – please note that some banks are telling members that they were notified by the ‘employer’ to not release pay until Friday.

- Executive Committee meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 in the Jr. High. Any member is welcome to attend!!
